(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Marysville School Board has unanimously approved a partnership with Yuba College to establish what they call a “Middle College Academy,” to begin next school year. The academy would allow high-achievers to take both high school and college courses, enabling them to earn both a high school diploma with an associate’s degree, “at virtually no cost” to the student, according to The Appeal-Democrat.

The ‘Middle College Academy’ would also involve no registration fees and nooks along with transportation will be provided free.

The projected cost to the district for the Middle College Academy’s first year however, is just over one-half-million-dollars.
