(Yuba County, CA) – In Yuba County Court, a jury has found Aaron Quinn of Oroville guilty of the attempted murder of a peace officer, and Quinn is now facing life in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 3rd.

It was just over a year ago on January 16th, 2022 when a CHP officer attempted to pull Quinn over for speeding on Oro Dam Boulevard in Oroville. Quinn led the officer on a chase that reached speeds just shy of 100mph, south to Yuba county, running numerous stop signs, driving in the oncoming lane at times and forcing at least one vehicle off the road to avoid being hit. Quinn then lost control, colliding with a power pole, at which time he began shooting at the officer, hitting the patrol car three times before his gun jammed.

Quinn was taken into custody after an approximately 45 minute standoff.
