(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Staying true to it’s goals that it takes a lot of different things to make a healthy community, Blue Zones Project Yuba-Sutter hosted its first Ellis Lake clean-up event in Marysville on yesterday as part of its “Adopt a Park” series.

Over 25 participants gathered at the Ellis Lake gazebo, and, in about an hour, had done quite a bit of clean up. Yesterday’s event was the launch of a series of park clean-ups with the next event scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Wood Park in Plumas Lake.

Blue Zones Project Yuba-Sutter, sponsored by Adventist Health and Blue Zones, LLC, is best described as a multifaceted health and wellbeing initiative meant to increase longevity and enable community members to live longer, happier lives with lower rates of chronic diseases and a higher quality of life.
