(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba Sutter CHP says a semi-truck drive is lucky to be alive after his truck hit a tree on Highway 99 just north of Highway 113. Officials report the damage was so extensive that the cab was pushed off the frame and into the front of the trailer.
It took firefighters nearly an hour to get the driver out.
The semi was the only vehicle involved. It was driving south when it veered left and across the northbound lanes. It entered the front yard of a residence and crashed into the tree.
The investigation into the cause of the accident will continue.
