(Wheatland, CA) Yuba River Endowment once again delivers – literally – in the form of a $40,000 donation to the FFA program at Wheatland High School. The organization is a nonprofit, created locally by farmers in Yuba County to benefit local residents and groups.

Around half of this donation will be used toward ‘out-of-pocket expenses for FFA students to attend Field Day and State competitions for the current school year, and the other half to help with program expenses’ according to organizers, who went on to tell The Appeal-Democrat that ‘the funds are expected to go toward farm supplies, jackets and travel costs for the program’s 320 FFA students to participate in upcoming field trips and competitions.’
