(Oroville, CA) – The Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force reports the seizure of 11-and-1/2 ounces of fentanyl and 1.51 grams of meth, following a surveillance operation of 48-year-old Melvin Eugene Alves at the Golden Feather Mobile Home Park in Oroville.
Alves was out of custody and on parole when agents observed him engaging in a possible drug transaction in the parking lot of the Golden feather Market. Agents detained Alves and 34-year-old David Pierce of Grass Valley, also on parole, with a warrant for his arrest, according to a media release.
A search of Alves turned up fentanyl & meth and a subsequent search of his trailer turned up an additional 11 ounces of fentanyl, a scale, packaging material and other items inside a safe indicating drug sales.
