(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba City Firefighters saved an unconscious, trapped resident from a house-fire early last Friday afternoon, in the 2800 block of Monroe Road. They arrived to find a heavy fire coming from a single story residence and a person trapped inside screaming for help. Entering into the intense smoke and fire with no visibility, firefighters located the trapped victim – by then unconscious – “with moderate to major burn injuries” according to KCRA 3.
Firefighters performed life saving measures on the scene before the person was taken to UC Davis Burn Center, last reported in ICU.
A second resident of the home escaped safely. No firefighters were injured.
