(South Lake Tahoe, CA) — The snowpack in the Lake Tahoe region is at close to 250-percent above normal for this time of year. That’s according to the California Department of Water Resources. Weeks of atmospheric river storms have brought heavy snow to the Central Sierra region, which includes Lake Tahoe.
The region is also already at 121-percent of its April 1st snowfall average.
The U.C. Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab has received more than four feet of snow since Friday, adding to the total.
