(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Another new, local business has opened to grace Plumas Street in Yuba City: Fastplants Skate Shop will be one of the few businesses catering to skateboarders in all of NorCal.

This new entity is the brainchild of Jerry Gurney, a professional skateboarder himself, who tells The Appeal-Democrat “I grew up in Yuba City, but I’ve also spent a lot of time living in San Francisco and SoCal,” adding, “I figured this would be a cool little place to sell some boards, prim out skating in the area, and bring something real to town.”

It will feature ‘all the skating essentials’ – even offering repairs – with consignment possibilities also in-house.

Fastplants Skate Shop is next to Milani Optical (run by Gurney’s step-day) at 6421/2 Plumas Street in the heart of the Yuba City shopping district.
