(Truckee, CA) — Heavy snow is causing closures on Interstate 80 and Highway 50. California Highway Patrol officials in Truckee said Interstate 80 to the Nevada state line and Colfax is closed because of high winds.

There is no estimated time of reopening. Highway 50 Eastbound was closed due to heavy snow at Sly Park and has since reopened.
