(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – At this week’s Sutter County Board of Supervisors meeting, the Sutter County Fire Chief addressed the board informing them that due to staffing shortages “Area F will be reducing services at the Sutter Fire Station in January” according to The Appeal-Democrat.
Starting today, Station 6 – one of 3 Area F stations – will be staffed by the Chief and his Battalion Chief “when there is not significant staff.” The Chief added they will also rely on volunteer staff “who can respond to fire & medical calls” and “may also have to use mutual aid.”
The Chief also noted the station “will remain staffed with all fire admin during school hours to…make sure we have fast response.”
The station’s coverage area includes Sutter High School and Brittan Elementary.
