(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Marysville Police Department reports this past Saturday night, 5 officers conducted a total of 59 traffic stops resulting in 31 citations issued.
The enhanced traffic enforcement was made possible with funding from the CHP DUI/Cannabis Tax Grant Program, awarded to the department to ensure road safety.
Of the 31 citations, 16 were for stop-sign violations and 5 for equipment violations & disobeying an official traffic control signal. Additionally, 5 field sobriety tests were conducted with 5 subsequent DUI/alcohol arrests. As well, 3 people were arrested for felony warrants. 2 suspended drivers and 8 unlicensed drivers were also charged.
