(Nevada County, CA) — An 18-year-old is dead following a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Highway 20 in Nevada County. The California Highway Patrol received a report around 4 a.m. about a overturned car near South Ponderosa Way. The wet and slippery road conditions led to the vehicle leaving the north side of the road, overturning, and hitting a tree.

The cause of the crash is unknown, and drugs or alcohol were not indicated as factors. No other individuals were in the vehicle
