(Sacramento, CA) — Ten people are recovering after jumping from a boat into Folsom Lake. Authorities say all ten people had trouble swimming to shore in the Granite Bay area and needed medical attention on Monday afternoon. The group believed they could swim to shore after their boat stopped working.

The ten adults were treated for exhaustion and for complications from swallowing water.

None of them had life jackets on and authorities say alcohol was a factor.
