YUBA/SUTTER FRIDAY WILDFIRE UPDATE

Crews continue to make steady progress on the West Zine of the North Complex impacting Yuba and Butte Counties – reported 40% contained at 78,750 acres. Clearer skies the last several days have enabled a more vigorous air attack.

The communities of Berry Creek, Brush Creek, Big Bend, Feather falls, Clipper Mills, Challenge, Forbestown, Woodleaf and Strawberry Valley remain under mandatory evacuation orders, going into a 10th straight day.

In total, the North Complex is also 40% contained at 284,437 acres with 1,119 structures destroyed, 72 damaged and 15 fatalities.

The U.S. Forest service reports on the west side of the valley, the August Complex is 30% contained at 839,175 acres, growing almost 22,000 acres in the last 24 hours.
