In Yuba-Sutter, our COVID-19 numbers have increased to 5, with the announcement of 2 cases now in Sutter County. That is in addition to the 3 previously reported in Yuba County. Bi-County Health Officer Dr, Phuong Luu says ‘the 2 new cases meet the criteria for community spread,’ adding, “those who ignore the call to stay at home unless conducting essential services put everyone they meet at risk.” This includes, she notes, not hosting guests, especially from other cities and states. Dr. Luu also urges restraint during your essential shopping trips, saying “a week’s supply rather than a 6 month supply is plenty. Think of your neighbors who needs those things also.”
