(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – An event to help local families gain access to internet service is set for this Saturday at the Yuba County Library in Marysville. It will be hosted by Yuba County officials, and The Appeal-Democrat reports ‘significant savings’ on broadband service for families that qualify.

Households are eligible if at least one member meets guidelines provided by the Affordable Connectivity Program, including an income that is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, if they participate in programs such as SNAP, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SSI, WIC or Lifeline, or Tribal specific programs.

Other eligibility thresholds include receiving a Federal Pell Grant, or receiving benefits such as the free or reduced-priced school lunch program.

The Yuba County Library is located at 303 Second Street in Marysville and the event is scheduled for this Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. Until 1:00 p.m.
