Beginning this morning at 8:00, Cal Fire is suspending all burn permits in Yuba County, banning all residential burning of landscape and debris, although they may still issue restricted temporary permits for essential public health & safety reasons, as well as agriculture, land management, fire training “and other industrial-type burning may proceed” with Cal Fire inspection of the site.

The burn permit suspension in Yuba County also does not necessarily apply to campfires within organized campgrounds or private property. Campfire permits can be obtained at local fire stations or online at: PreventWildfireCa.org Since the beginning of the year statewide, firefighters have already responded to at least 2,040 wildfires, counting 2 south Butte County blazes over the weekend.
