(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – For 2 years Yuba College theater productions have been streamed and/or recorded due to the pandemic. However, Thursday evening, live performances are back, with the production of ‘Silent Sky” a true story about a 19th century astronomer, Henrietta Leavitt.

The Appeal-Democrat reports the production is also part of a new policy at Yuba College: “Pay what you can!” Director James Gilbreath, told the paper it’s an effort to expanding theater attendance. However, theater-goers can donate at the door if they prefer.

Performances are scheduled for the next two weeks, opening this Thursday and closing May 1. The show begins at 7:30 nightly, and a Sunday matinee is set for 2:00.
