Yesterday was the launch of the new Sutter County Museum Farmers Market, complete with strict pandemic guidelines and rave reviews. Also yesterday, a social media release announced the Yuba City Certified Farmers Market will return to Town Square this Saturday from 8:00 until noon. The message says in part “we will be looking different while implementing state guidelines,” although no specifics regarding facial coverings and social distancing are mentioned. The Sutter County Museum version however, made it clear beforehand: Both customers and vendors would be required to wear masks, socially distance, no samples and no touching products prior to purchase.
Meanwhile, a week after it was announced, the Yuba City Summer Stroll is now canceled, and organizers of the Marysville Peach Festival announced yesterday that event is now off as well.
