The National Weather Service forecasts a winter storm, leading up to the New Year, that could bring up to 2 inches of  rainfall by Sunday.

Yuba County Office of Emergency Services report that the Yuba levee is expected to rise several feet but is not expected to reach the requirement to monitor the river.

However, residents who reside in low-lying areas of Yuba County, who are subject to localized flooding with significant rainfall, can fill sand bags at the Yuba County Public Works Corporation Yard at the Yuba County Airport.
