Every Tuesday the state updates its County COVID-19 Restrictions List and good news for our listening area: Yuba/Sutter remains Red Tier with Colusa, Butte and Glenn Counties moving from the most restrictive Purple Tier to Red.
A Yuba/Sutter Bi-County Spokesperson is expressing concern however, that recent case counts are increasing slightly “going in the wrong direction.” 25 new positives were confirmed yesterday alone.
In counties with less than 106,000 residents, the total 7 day case count must be no more than 48 to remain Red Tier.
Meanwhile, a week after a full reopening, Gridley High School’s reporting their first student COVID-19 positive. The superintendent tells Action News the student is in quarantine and health officials are now contact tracing “and will quarantine anyone who came in contact with them.”
