An almost month long investigation in Gridley has led to 2 arrests and the seizure of half-a-pound of meth. It began the night of June 30th when 2 officers on patrol approached 39-year-old Roxanne Rutledge and 37-year-old William Tull, who were trespassing on the railroad tracks.
According to a press release, Tull had “a large amount of methamphetamine” in his pocket, prompting the involvement of the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force. Rutledge was released from the scene and Tull was arrested for possession and sale.
Subsequently, a search warrant was served yesterday at a residence in the 1100 block of HWY 99, where additional meth was seized, along with heroin and drug paraphernalia, at which time, Rutledge was arrested.
