Today’s Good News: Woman Sends Thousands Of Xmas Cards To Soldiers Overseas

A restaurant manager in Pennsylvania has collected and sent 3-thousand Christmas cards to military members serving overseas. Patty Beam encouraged customers at her restaurant to drop off cards for soldiers and within weeks she had thousands. Army Sergeant First Class Jason Gidney, 42, who has helped get the cards shipped out, says the cards are “so thoughtful” and have made a lot of troops happy. Source: Peoplecat-1285634_1280

 

A cat who escaped and had been missing for five years has been reunited with his owner. Kara Hanlon was shocked to find out her calico cat, Lottie, had been picked up and identified, thanks to his microchip. The feline was returned to her just days before Christmas, almost five years to the day since he disappeared. Source: USA Today
