Today’s Good News: Woman Donates Birthday Cake Kits To Community

A Montana teacher is making sure kids in her community get to celebrate their birthdays. Katie Finnicum of Great Falls has donated 122 birthday cake kits to the local food bank and public schools. The kits include cake mix, frosting, candles and they come in a disposable baking pan and will be donated to kids in need. Source: KRTV


Gracie, an 11-year-old chihuahua-dachshund mix, saved her owner’s neighbor at their independent living community. The dog wouldn’t stop barking and led her owner, Mary Violante, to a man who had fallen on his outdoor patio and couldn’t get up. John Ball is 92 and blind and without Gracie’s help, he may have been down there a long time. A FedEx employee in Tampa, Florida, went above and beyond to make sure a bride got her wedding dress on her wedding day. Pickup and delivery manager Anthony Carvajal found out her custom-made wedding gown was in transit and wasn’t going to make it to the bride in time for the wedding. So he spent hours tracking it down and was able to find it and get it to the groom before the nuptials. Source: WFLA


Just-released video shows the moment a railroad worker In India rushed to save a child who had fallen on the tracks. The clip posted to Twitter by India’s Ministry of Railways shows the employee sprinting to rescue the kid from an oncoming train.
