Today’s Good News: Boy With Muscular Dystrophy Donates 200 Blessing Bags For Homeless



A 10-year-old is doing his part to make the world a better place for others by donating “blessing bags” for the homeless. The Fishers Police Department in Indiana is praising Maddox for his gift that comes from his nonprofit, Maddox’s Mission. He was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy, but he doesn’t want to be defined by his illness, just his acts of kindness. Source: People

A 19-year-old girl has been adopted by her caseworker in the foster care system. Monyay spent years in group homes and state care and formed a bond with her caseworker, Leah Paskalides. The teen always wanted the woman to adopt her and now that she’s out of the system and technically an adult, they were able to do it. Source: ABC Action News



A 17-year-old surfer in Santa Cruz, California, saved a man drowning in the ocean. Zade Stone-Hinds rushed into the water and rescued the man by getting him on his surfboard. He kept the man afloat until rescuer swimmers with the Central Fire Protection District arrived. Source: KRON
