Today’s Good News: 7 Year Old Raises $20k For Hospital PPE
Hayley Orlinsky has been making bracelets to raise money to buy personal protective equipment for a Chicago children’s hospital. The seven-year-old has generated nearly $20-thousand with the crafts. She’s had some big name donors support her fundraiser, including Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
Walmart announced they’ll be giving out another $700 MILLION in cash bonuses to 1.5 million workers on Christmas Eve later this month. They’ve already given out around $2.8 BILLION in bonuses this year.
A former radio host in Michigan named Eric Zane flew to Los Angeles last week to donate a kidney to a friend from high school, who he hadn’t seen in over 30 years. He posted a photo from the airport wearing a t-shirt that said, “I don’t always travel during a pandemic. But when I do, it’s to donate a kidney.”
