Third Suspected Monkeypox Case In Sacramento County

(Sacramento, CA)  —  A third suspected monkeypox case has been reported in Sacramento County.  According to the county health department, the third case was found through contract tracing from the first case.  County health officials said test results for the second and third suspected monkeypox case is pending. 

Monkeypox can cause fever, headache, muscle aches, and backache.  Officials said a face and body rash can develop as a first symptom or days after the diagnosis.
