(Sutter County, CA) – Sutter County has direct-mailed residents a 4 page, full color flier addressing the Grand Jury Report and a “Services Update.”

The front page opens with a letter from Sutter County Administrative officer Steven M. Smith acknowledging “a special Grand Jury report recently found that Sutter County is facing serious, worsening problems with fire protection & providing for basic community needs…The county not only agrees with…this report but wishes to address the recommendations outlined…Doing so however, will require funding the county currently does not have.”

The letter concludes “we must plan for our next steps,,,That’s why we need to hear from you.”

Then the document included the county’s address “suttercounty.org/feedback” urging residents to “Please join the conversation.”
