(Marysville, CA) – Former Marysville City Councilperson Stephanie McKenzie formally announced her bid to get back on the council yesterday. The recently retired Marysville School District elementary school teacher served one term, from 2016 to 2020, losing her reelection bid by only 4 votes, according tp The Appeal-Democrat.

McKenzie has also served on the Marysville Planning and Historic Preservation Commission and is a well known volunteer for SAYLove and  the Yuba Sutter Community Taskforce and numerous other organizations.

She’ll be running against current council members Brad Hudson & Bruce Buttacavoli for two open seats.
