State Officials React To Supreme Court Ruling On Concealed Carry

(Sacramento, CA)  —  State officials are reacting to the Supreme Court’s ruling on concealed carry law.  The court ruled in favor of gun rights advocates in a New York Case by a vote of 6-3 which allows people to carry a handgun for self-defense.

Governor Newsom called the decision “reckless” as it erases commonsense gun safety law that existed for decades and Attorney General Rob Bonta says the state will work to strengthen gun control laws moving forward.

The Governor said he anticipated the ruling and plans to sign 16 new gun safety bills next week
