STATE DEMOCRATS PREPARING BILL TO PROTECT BUSINESSES FROM ANTI-VAX LAWSUITS

Democratic lawmakers in Sacramento will soon introduce a bill to protect businesses from anti-vax lawsuits.  A draft of Assembly Bill 1102 creates legal safeguards for employers who require their workers to get COVID-19 vaccinations.

According to Assemblyman Evan Low, employers can already legally mandate shots.  However, he noted, “AB 1102 will eliminate any ambiguity” in the law that’s making some businesses unsure about enacting vaccination requirements.

The California Chamber of Commerce and a number of industries are supporting the bill.
