SACRAMENTO RESTAURANT INDUSTRY CALLING FOR INDOOR DINING

The restaurant industry in Sacramento is calling on the state to allow for indoor dining exceptions when the air quality is unhealthy.  The Sacramento Region Restaurants Association is asking for a public health exception to allow for 50-percent capacity indoor dining if the Air Quality Index goes above 150.  The association estimates that roughly 50- to 60-percent of independently owned restaurants in the area are at risk of closing by the end of 2020.
