As California continues to distribute coronavirus vaccines, Sacramento County is proposing who will be next in line for the next phase of the vaccine rollout. The county has split the groups into two tiers. Tier 1 would include people ages 75 and up and frontline essential workers, like those in education, law enforcement, food and agriculture and first responders. Tier 2 would have people ages 65 to 74 and other essential workers in manufacturing, transportation, facilities and services, inmates and the homeless. Vaccinations for health care workers and long-term care residents and staff in Sacramento County have been well underway.
