ROUTINE GRIDLEY TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG AND WEAPONS ARREST

What the Gridley-Biggs Police describe as a routine traffic stop for an equipment violation yesterday morning at the Gridley Burger King, resulted in the arrest of 40-year-old Jeff Lopez and the seizure of 2 loaded handguns, 2 illegal knives, metal knuckles, just under 5 ounces of meth, half-an-ounce of cocaine, “several pounds of marijuana” and $14,000 cash. Lopez is a convicted felon.
