CHP/Oroville reports a triple fatal rollover accident yesterday on Lincoln Boulevard north of Baggett-Marysville Road at around noon when 30-year-old Anthony Gaston, driving a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 2-year-old girl & a 4-year-old girl as passengers – one of them not properly restrained – as well as 18-year-old Andrew Lockner – who was using safety equipment according to a collision report – got into “a speed contest’ with 19-year-old Carlos Hill Jr. in a 2013 Camero.
Gaston lost control, the jeep rolled and Gaston, Lockner and the 2-year-old were killed. The 4-year-old was transported by air to U.C. Davis Hospital where she’s reported in critical condition. Gaston was not using safety equipment according to the report.
Hill Jr. fled the scene but was later located and detained for “his involvement in the speed contest and collision.”
