(Sacramento, CA) — Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a bill that requires employers to show pay scales on their job postings. Assembly Bill 1162 was signed yesterday. It will require companies with 100 workers or more to include hourly pay rates for each race, ethnicity, and sex for each job category.

The information is already sent to the state as pay data reports. Pay scales are required on job postings for companies with 15 or more employees.
