Checking on the latest wildfire activity to our north: The Salt Fire, just north of Redding in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest is reported 20% contained at 11,693 acres with 27 houses and 14 outbuildings destroyed. No injuries reported.

In Sisikyou County, The Lava Fire is 70% contained at 25,000 acres. Sunday it spread over the Union Pacific rail lines and reconstruction of damaged trestles has begun.

Also in Siskiyou County: The Tenant Fire is 51% contained at 10,500 acres.

And in Plumas County, The Beckwourth Complex – The Delta & Sugar Fires combined: is 33% contained at 1,160 acres.
