Good news from Cal-Fire at the Butte Lightning Complex consisting of 34 separate fires: With more accurate mapping reducing the acreage by almost 2,000 acres, containment is now at 75% at 2,782 acres. According to the Operations Chief in an update last night, “all the fires in the Butte zone are in a mop up and patrol status.”
The August Complex northwest of Willows is 18% contained at 221,284 acres, growing by 21,000 acres over the weekend.
The LNU Lightning Complex spanning Sonoma, Solano, Napa, Yolo and Lake Counties is 58% contained at 375, 209 acres. Mandatory evacuation orders remain on the fire’s edge at Colusa County for all residents west of 16, and south of 20 east of the Colusa/Lake County line, north of the Colusa/Yolo County line east of 16.
And in the Plumas and Lassen National Forests, the North Complex is 37% contained at 61,095 acres.
