NO FLEX ALERT FROM CALIFORNIA’S INDEPENDENT SYSTEM OPERATOR

California’s Independent System Operator is deciding not to issue a Flex Alert.  The agency had announced earlier this weekend a Flex Alert may be issued today as high temperatures are expected across the state.  Now, there’s expected to be enough energy resources to keep up with demand during the heat wave.

Cal ISO does note that the Flex Alert may be issued if weather or system conditions continue to worsen, in which residents would then be encouraged to voluntarily conserve electricity between 3-and-10-pm.
