The Sutter-Yuba Mosquito & Vector Control District reports a growing number of mosquitoes testing West Nile virus positive: In Sutter County in Meridian, on Daphne Lane in Yuba City, Craig Road west of Live oak and Sheppard Road.

In Yuba County, the first of 2 positives so far this year are reported: One in Linda and another in Hallwood.

A press release notes District staff will continue to aggressively target adult & larval mosquitoes in urban areas with truck-mounted foggers on Thursday mornings and in rural areas on Tuesday nights, including by aircraft in ag areas west of Yuba City, north of Marysville, south of Olivehurts and east of Plumas Lake “with spray missions after dark that may occur any night of the week.”
