In Sutter County Court, a Marysville man has been sentenced to life – sort of – after pleading no contest to kidnapping with intent to commit rape in Yuba City.
29-year-old Allen Lomax must serve 6 years in state prison and is then eligible for parole. Additionally, he has credit for 239 days already served in county jail.
Lomax was arrested last July after a DNA match from an April 2013 incident, according to the Appeal-Democrat – when the victim admitted to being “drunk to the point of almost blacking out” was walking near Sam Brannan Park. Then, the next thing the victim remembered was “waking up in an abandoned building.”
Lomax was originally charged with rape of an unconscious victim. He’ll also be required to register as a sex offender for life and is prohibited from contacting the victim for 3 years.
