MAN KILLED ATTEMPTING TO STOP CAR THEFT – 2 SUSPECTS AT LARGE

The Sutter County Sheriff’s Department remains on the hunt today for 2 men, wanted in connection to an attempted car-theft, and dragging a man to death as he attempted to stop them. According to a press release, Officers responded to reports of a fight at approximately 9:00 last Thursday evening, in the 2700 block of Howlett Avenue in Yuba City. The 19-year-old son of a resident there, had reportedly confronted 2 men as they attempted to steal a vehicle. The unidentified man reached inside the vehicle, trying to disable it, but instead was dragged, and later found on the roadway with major injuries, which turned out to be fatal.

The suspects fled in a white sedan, and are described as ‘white male adults, in their 20’s with thin builds.’ Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
