LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO CONTINUE OFFERING FREE MEALS FOR STUDENTS

A testament regarding the need to feed hungry students in the Yuba-Sutter area, as The Appeal-Democrat reports around 4,000 bags of meals per day are currently being distributed.

With demand high and the pandemic easing enough to allow a return to in-person instruction, both the Yuba City & Marysville Unified School Districts will continue offering free meals. Amber Watson with the Marysville School District tells the paper “with kids coming back, it really has increased our level of service.”

Curbside meals are also still being offered for those not enrolled and for children still doing distance learning.
