(Sacramento, CA)  —  State lawmakers sent their budget to the California Governor.  The 300-billion-dollar budget was turned in yesterday.  About 40-billion-dollars is going to infrastructure, public schools, housing, and transportation.

Governor Gavin Newsom still needs to negotiate several items, including how to give Californians relief from rising gas prices and inflation.

Republicans said the budget does not do enough to fix the drought, extreme wildfires, the electrical grid strain, and the recession.
