(Sutter Creek, CA) — A high school varsity football team will not play the rest of the season because of an investigation involving the team’s group chat. School district officials said yesterday some of the allegations from the chat have been referred to law enforcement.

Officials are calling the group chat, involving most of the team members, “highly inappropriate.” District officials said the investigation will take at least 30 days. Three out of six of the varsity team’s staff members were put on administrative leave.
