(Yuba-Sutter CA) -Yuba Water Agency Board of Director member Brent Hastey has been honored by the state “for his distinguished and dedicated service” by the Association of California Water Agencies, whose Executive Director, in presenting Hastey the award said, “He’s a tremendous asset to the California Water Community and one of the finest leaders  in the water business and local government.”

Hastey joined Yuba Water Agency’s Board of Directors in 1993 as a Yuba County Supervisor, was its Champion from 2017 to 2019 and joined the Association of California Water Agencies in 2016, elected as Vice President that same year, and was President in 2018, credited with establishing ACWA’s “first dedicated agriculture committee.”
