A Grass Valley motorcyclist is in custody following a high-speed, predawn chase through Linda, that ended in Marysville. 27-year-old Zach Sample was arrested and also had 3 warrants out of Nevada County. The Appeal-Democrat reports the pursuit began with a deputy attempting to pull Sample over for a rear taillight out, at Laurel and Alicia. Sample allegedly sped off, reaching speeds of 90 mph, running stop-signs, crashing into a fence at Island and Grand Avenues, then speeding into Marysville, ditching his bike at 3rd and E Streets and unsuccessfully attempting to run away. Sample was also reportedly in possession of drug paraphernalia.
