FORMER COLUSA POLICE LIEUTENANT ARRESTED ON EMBEZZLEMENT CHARGES

Former Colusa Police Department Lieutenant Elden Henry Tamez has been arrested following an embezzlement and grand theft investigation. Between October of 2018 thru October of last year – when he resigned – Tamez is accused of stealing $950-dollars from the Colusa Police Officers Association. A Yuba City resident, he has been officially arrested by the Colusa County D.A.’s Office. However, The Appeal-Democrat reports he is ‘being held at the Sutter County Jail’ with a Colusa County court appearance scheduled for next Wednesday.
