Yuba-Sutter’s first ever flag retirement ceremony will take place this morning at 9:00 at the Sutter Cemetery. Organizer Ryan Aday, 1st Vice Commander of American Legion Post 705, hopes it will become an annual Flag Day tradition.
This morning’s ceremony will include the Beale Air Force Base Color Guard, a rifle salute, a bugler performing “To the Colors’, an address from one of our State Assemblyperson and a presentation from Sutter Eagle Scout Brandon Knox, who collected the flags to be formally retired this morning as part of his Eagle Scout project.
